There was a time when we had stories to tell. A time when our phones beeped and vibrated non-stop with tales from weekends past. When people returned from their travels with rich and exciting stories, told around dinner tables. As we all know, those times were rudely interrupted…
And so, gradually, over the last 17 months, our stories were replaced by awkward silences, empty inboxes and “nothing muches”. But as more and more South Africans get vaccinated, hope hangs on the horizon. Pretty soon, we’ll be able to make new stories.
And like 50 years before, a bucket of KFC will be there to bear witness where these stories are shared.

Over the last 50 years, many great stories were shared around a bucket of KFC. To celebrate the return of making and telling of stories, KFC is launching a meal with not one, but three buckets – The Triple Birthday Barrel. 6 pieces of crispy chicken, 16 golden nuggets, chips and 4 ice-cold Coca-Cola’s. Loaded with enough KFC goodness to last many stories long, it’s the perfect meal to celebrate 50 years of KFC.

This advice is out of date and I have watched many colleagues fall for this trap and only end up disappointed.
